About Mary
Dr. Mary Carter Waren is pastoral theologian, dedicated teacher, and compassionate consultant who has taught at the university level for the past 25 years. Mary’s research and teaching interests are in practical theology, especially in the “translation” of theological concepts that seem obscure into “ordinary” language so that theological thought and reflection not be elitist, but for all. Her teaching and consulting stem from her deep theological and spiritual convictions, making Mary a deeply sympathetic and caring individual for those whom she has the pleasure of working with.
